Kansas State University

UTC Faculty and Staff

Because transportation encompasses all of the disciplines of Civil Engineering, many of K-State’s Civil Engineering faculty are involved in transportation research.  For example, bridges have footings requiring geotechnical analysis, watersheds and flows requiring environmental and water resources engineering, the bridge itself requiring structural engineering, and the bridge traffic requires transportation engineers.

Brian A. Coon, Director
Brian A. Coon

Dr. Coon's areas of expertise include transportation safety, accident reconstruction, non-linear finite element modeling, and the legal aspects of transportation engineering.
